STUDIO

Based in Singapore, the studio questions what it means to create from this region. It looks to Southeast Asian garment archetypes and their construction — not to replicate them, but to inspire contemporary designs. These heritage garments shape the label’s approach to cut, proportion, and material. The past isn’t referenced for effect. Old and new, sleek and kitschy, East and West meet with finesse, authenticity, and respect.

Tailoring and draping drive the work. The garments play with volume and modified shapes to create unexpected silhouettes and austere moods. Masculine and feminine, oversized and undersized, deconstruction and reconstruction — all become tools for transformation.

Simple ideas

The design language is serious but never severe, minimal but never simple, fragile but never weak. It starts with extremely simple ideas and expands them through cuts and proportion. Minimal concepts are maximized into a complex vocabulary.

Nanyang

The contemporary garments draws from the region’s lived reality: daily life in a modern city, mix of cultures and the construction of heritage clothing. It builds from South East Asian references. The results are modern garments that feel precise, unresolved yet rooted in place.
