The Spring Summer 21 collection we sought out to rethink and reimagine how we can re-write Western garments with a Nanyang or South East Asian tone. What better way to start with a basic teeshirt dress?
This draped tee is constructed in a rather “unfamiliar” way on the draped bodice. The construction of the dress is inspired by the Layang (malay kite). When worn, the asymmetric dress falls in a soft cowl at the hem.
Fabricated in soft rayon and cotton blend, this draped tee is soft to touch, falls and wraps gently on the wearer’s body just like how a sarong does.
